Tod Fod Jod is an initiative of Vadodara Innovative council which aims to provide hand on learning environment where students can de-construct, reconstruct or  re-purpose everyday equipments like emergency light fan, touch screen, water purifier, microscope etc VLCC has provided opportunity for our students to be part of this program .

We have two batches of 25 students each of Std VII and Std VIII. The classes are held every Wednesday between 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for each batch. Learning is done under the guidance provided by facilitators of TFJ.

CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH PROGRAM

Baroda High School is committed to provide every student with opportunities to build capacity and face the world confidently.

We are proud to share that we have been successfully implementing the Innovative Cambridge English Program since the previous academic session, and we are committed to continuing this valuable program for our students.

This program, integrated into the regular school hours, enhances the core English communication skills of our students from Class 1 to Class 8, focusing on:

  • Speaking
  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Functional Grammar & Vocabulary

This initiative ensures effective communication and holistic development for all our learners. The first phase of the program included teachers' training as per Cambridge standards. Teachers appeared for the TKT exam conducted by Cambridge University to qualify for teaching English. Students of 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th grades give a separate Cambridge English exam.

SKILLS FOR ADOLESCENCE (SFA)

Skills for Adolescence (SFA) is a program which helps in developing children to become better citizens of tomorrow. It is run by Lions Club International which is the largest service organisation in the world. Our trust BLCET has co-ordinated to conduct this program in our school on a regular basis as it is designed to support the development of a capable healthy young adolescent of strong character.

This program is conducted every week in our school by specially trained teachers. Parents are also involved time to time as they are playing an important role of parenting their child.

Skills development as a part of school education is indeed important to establish a strong foundation for a thriving future. Self awareness, excellent communication skills, problem solving and critical thinking capabilities are some of the important benefits of learning through a well rounded curriculum.

Skill development at an early age helps the child growth in a better way. It prepares students with the skills, knowledge and confidence to avoid unhealthy situations and resist negative peer pressure.

Skills for Growth is built on a partnership among students, school, home and community.

MEP is a mathematics enhancement program specially designed by the teachers of Baroda High Schools under the able  guidance of Trustees and Principals. This program aims to help students  to overcome the fear of math, to explore various strategies of math and to develop growth mind set. MEP is conducted for students of Std VI ,Std VII and Std VIII every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday respectively during school hours.
