Curriculum Overview
“As per NEP 2020, the key overall thrust of curriculum and pedagogy reform across all stages is to move the education system towards real understanding and towards learning how to learn - and away from the culture of rote learning as is largely present today. The aim of education will not only be cognitive development, but also building character and creating holistic and well-rounded individuals equipped with the key 21st century skills.”
Foundational Stage (Jr. KG to Std. 2)
Preparatory Stage (Std.3 to 5)
The Preparatory Stage (Std. 3 to 5) consolidates the capacities and dispositions that begin to develop in the Foundational Stage. Students are expected to develop fluency in literacy and numeracy and develop further capacities that are helpful in a systematic exploration of the natural and social worlds around them. Basic Core Skills like Communication skills, Learning through Context, Questioning Skills, Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing (LSRW), Building Language and Subject Vocabulary, Understanding Health & Wellness etc. are taught at this stage.
Middle Stage (Std.6 to 8)
The Middle Stage (Std. 6 to 8) utilizes the capacities and dispositions developed during the Preparatory Stage and introduces the students to different forms of understanding. Students gain systematic knowledge through rational thought and enquiry.
We provide enough opportunities to the students so that the capacities for critical thinking and problem-solving are consolidated in this stage and they acquire the desirable values and dispositions for democratic/economic/cultural participation.
